Today Elliot went to bed repeating the word "dopit" over and over again. If you have never read "Mr. Dizzy", then you wouldn't understand. I suggest you read it. It will change your life.
In fact, read all the Mr. Men books right now, before you go to bed. Every single one. Go ahead. Stop reading this blog and start reading Mr. Men. Start with Mr. Dizzy, go on to Mr. Strong, then Mr. Funny then continue from there. Let me know how it goes.

Age 20m... on the web

Click on the cbc logo to visit Elliot's favourite website, which he now asks for quite often. He likes playing all the games on their website and especially Nana's Helper.

The other day, whilst his father was at work, Elliot ran across the length of the house, flung himself onto the living room table and began to wail.
"Waah, waaaah." He cried. His mother, always there for him, gently and lovingly asked him what the matter was. In return, the bright young boy lifted his head, turned to face her and gleefully reported that he was only "joking".
What a funny son we have. Posted by Picasa

Elliot and Andrea helped a lot with this event, Love Langley. On June 10 our church led four events through Langley, doing kind deeds for people throughout the city. We were able to bless over 3000 people that day. These pictures were of the biggest event, where we washed a hundred cars and handed out over 300 hotdogs. Posted by Picasa

These are the two girls in Elliot's life. Annika and Chloe are pretty, smart and cool. Here Chloe is eating a stone, but I'm sure there is a good reason for it. Posted by Picasa

These photos may give you some idea as to why I am secretly hoping that the next kid is a girl. Andrea's having a bit too much fun with my son while I'm at work. Painted nails and pink socks? Shameful! Posted by Picasa
Today I was reading with Elliot prior to his bed time and we were reading I Have To Go, by Robert Munsch(Canada's own). Just for fun I decided to replace the main protagonist's name with Elliot's and so every time Andrew had to go pee, I would say that it was Elliot. When Andrew had to put his winter coat on, it was actually Elliot who put his winter coat on. Elliot was quite enthralled by this, a story about him. Nearing the end of the story he took a full step backwards, pointing directly to his chest and said "Elliot!"
This is awfully cool because we have been patiently teaching him his name for a few months and he has been saying it quite often now. We'll say, "Who does Mommy love?" And he'll say "Elliot!" But I had never seen him name himself unprompted until tonight. Posted by Picasa

It went so well the first time...

that we decided to have another kid. Here is our view of him/her so far:
And here is a picture of Elliot from long ago. I see nothing but similarities:

Couch pEllioto

Elliot is a big fan of the couch. He likes to read with mom on the couch, eat jello on the couch and sometimes catch some shut-eye on the couch. Dad, on the other hand, seems to enjoy coming up with really bad puns. Posted by Picasa
