Lots of catch up

Lots of cool pictures below. I suppose if anyone is still checking our blog, they have now discovered Andrea's abilities and have no interest in my visiting them any more. No matter.
Sorry for my absence. Can't give much information on my recent whereabouts but it does involve robot ninjas.

Simon - age eight months

Simon has been drinking, by his own hand, sippy cups of water. He also is beginning to eat chunks of food as he has four teeth (and we think a fifth one is coming too).
Still all smiles, our youngest boy seems nearly indestructible - which is good because Elliot isn't always the most careful kid on our block.
His hair is getting lighter, but is still darker than Elliot's.
He loves the cat, but his love is not returned. Misty is a cat with very little love to give, though she expects love from every one else. Thinking back to Elliot, I think Simon is much more kind and caring towards Misty than Elliot was at the same age.
He is trying to pull himself up on things, can sit up on his own, is still very close to crawling and he thinks his brother is King (another similarity to Elliot who thinks the same of himself).

Elliot - age two and three quarters

Elliot has grown up a lot over the last few months. Our battles used to be us asking him to do something, or to cease doing something and then him yelling no and screaming. Now, depending on how awake he is, he participates more in intelligent debate. He even negotiates with us now. Of course we rarely give an inch, but it makes it much more entertaining for us.
Toilet training is going really well. He is very proud of wearing underwear now instead of diapers all the time.
His favourite food has now become peanut butter. Mom is finding lots of creative and nutritious ways to eat peanut butter for his snacks.
His creations, whether the material be paint, chalk, blocks or playdough, have become much more detailed and imaginative. He used to simply build towers as high as he could, or copy his dad. Now he builds Old Lady (read Old Navy) stores and fancy houses.
He runs a two buck store in his free time.
Mom has been taking him to a couple summer preschool programs in Cloverdale which Elliot has been very excited about.
