The Real McCoy

Sure crokinole is fun. I can agree that cribbage is important to the Ashtons. Of course Bocce ball has become a favourite as well. Washer-toss kind of came out of no-where, but that's okay. You have to understand, however, that to be an Ashton you have to know how to throw a horseshoe, to throw it high (though not too high) and far (but not too far). You have to be able to make it flip gracefully through the air so that when it lands, it does not bounce. You have to learn how to make it hug the target pole so you can receive three points for your "ringer". Although getting two points for a "leaner" is also very impressive. At the very least, you should be able to get one point for your shoe being within the open mouth distance of that same shoe from the peg. Lose interest a few sentences ago? Then you'll never be an Ashton.
